Burt earned a B. A. Degree in Music from the University of Mobile. He received a Master’s in Church Music from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Burt served as a full-time Minister of Music at several Southern Baptist Churches over 32 years and has served as a bi-vocational Minister of Music at FBCD since 2001. He is currently the Qualifying Broker at JPAR Coast and County Real Estate Company. Burt is married to Cathy Youngblood, and they have 4 grown children and 12 grandchildren.
