ABOUT

Our Mission

Our mission is to “Honor God by leading people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.”

Our Vision

We seek to lead people to make a series of commitments to: church membership,   spiritual growth, a personal ministry through the church, and personal evangelism.

Our Values

Experience

Experience a real God for your real life. You don't have to have it all figured out before you come to Him. God loves you right where you are, and we want our church to be a place where you truly experience His love.

Connect

Connect in relationship with God and others. We believe life is meant to be lived in close community with our Creator and the ones He created. Our focus is on helping you connect with and grow closer to God so that you might connect with and grow closer to our community of believers.

Respond

Respond to what God is doing in your life through sharing with and serving others. We want to be a church that shows our faith in the way we live our lives. That's why we keep our eyes open for ways to serve others while sharing what God has done for us.

Our Beliefs

FBC Dawes is a family of believers who hold dear the doctrine of our faith. We have adopted as our general statement of faith “The Baptist Faith and Message” as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1963 and revised in 1998 and again in 2000. Our beliefs are as follows:

Searching for Answers?

How to have a Personal Relationship With God!

A - ADMIT that you are a sinner and are not good enough to be able to live in Heaven with God when you die.  Admit that you can never be good enough to satisfy God’s standard (perfection) for getting into heaven.  (Romans 3:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)

B - BELIEVE that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and His death, burial, and  resurrection are all that is necessary to wash away your sin and make you appear perfect before God.  Believe that if you accept  Jesus’ death as the payment for your sin that God will  forgive your sin and not punish you for that sin. (Romans 5:6-10; Romans 6:23)

C - COMMIT your life to Jesus by asking Him to forgive you of your sin and to give you His free gift of eternal life. (Romans 10:9-13)

You can have God’s free gift of eternal life if you sincerely pray the following prayer, believing God will answer this prayer by saving you from your sin:

“Dear God, I know that I am not good enough to get into your heaven when I die. Jesus, I am asking you to forgive me of my sin so I can appear perfect before God and go to heaven when I die. Jesus, please come into my life, take away my sin, and be my Savior and Lord, so I can have your free gift of eternal life.
